Saving Private Ryan (1998)
Catch Matt Damon as Private Ryan
Theatrical Release Date: July 24, 1998
Summary: How many of us can say we've been saved by Tom Hanks in our lifetime? Yeah, me neither. Filmed in England, Ireland and France, Matt confessed to fellow crash-dieter Oprah Winfrey that he had to lose 40 pounds for the role. Even though this was Hanks's film, the title of the film did belong to Matt. Before the money, the Oscar, and Oprah interviews, Steven Spielberg had already cast Matt in his wallet-splitting big budget war epic. Considered a good pick if you're stumbling on all those Jeopardy questions and are in need of a history refresher. Also, fun to know that all the principal actors had to go through several days of grueling army training except for, well, our pretty boy Matt.Matt Damon Movies:
