School Ties (1992)
Catch Matt Damon as Charlie Dillon
Theatrical Release Date: September 18, 1992
Summary: David Green (brilliantly played by Brendan Fraser) is a popular boy who is forced to hide his Jewish religion among a group of elite 1950s prep school boys until his secret is forced out. A very interesting movie that will keep you watching until the very end. What's great is that this movie is more complex than having good guys vs. bad guys as we learn that David's character is not used as a scapegoat merely because he is Jewish, but instead for the choices that he makes in his life. The film slightly preaches the evils of prejudice but does a good job in portraying one young man's journey into finding true acceptance while overlooking stereotypes. This movie has some effective moments with a slight twist in the end.Matt Damon Movies:
